Knowledge and practices of nursing teachers about diagnosis of human responses

Abstract: Objective: the objective was to discussing the teachers' knowledge and practices of a Nursing graduate course about diagnosis of human responses. Method: a qualitative study, conducted during the years 2010 and 2012, with fourteen teachers of graduate nursing working in a College located in the city of Juazeiro-Ceara. Data were collected through an interview by the signing of the agreement by the participants. Results: the subjects conceive the diagnosis with the clinical judgment of nurses about basic human needs of the individual. Teachers enter the topic of diagnostic to their pedagogical activities, according to the peculiarities of each curriculum subject. Conclusion: it is suggested that teachers improve their knowledge on the diagnosis of human responses and introduce effectively the theme to their education practice
