Frühe Auswahlausgabe von Arien aus dem Oratorium "Esther". Es handelt sich um die zweite Fassung des Oratoriums, die Händel am 02.05.1732 im King’s Theatre am Haymarket in London uraufführen ließ (HWV 50b). Händels Verleger John Walsh brachte diese Auswahlausgabe erstmals bereits 1732 heraus und druckte sie in kurzer Folge mehrfach nach. Das vorliegende Exemplar gehört zum zweiten Nachdruck.
Am Beginn der Arien wird der jeweilige Sänger in der Uraufführung dieser Fassung genannt: Anna Strada del Pò, Anne Turner-Robinson, Mrs. Davis, Francesca Bertolli und Senesino (= Francesco Bernardi).
