Brief vom 4. Dezember 1772: In rundem Bildfeld mit Draperie links und Spiegel angedeutetes Interieur. Mittig das Klavier, an dem rechts Lotte spielt. Sie blickt zu Werther, der links auf einem Stuhl sitzt. Er umfasst das Schwesterchen zwischen seinen Beinen, dieses hält eine Puppe. Darstellung in reich abgestuften, weichen Halbtönen.
