Sepia officinalis (Sepiidae) - Balz, Paarung und Eiablage

Tintenfisch. Auf die Werbung eines Männchens in auffälliger Balztracht antworten paarungswillige Weibchen mit einer Paarbindungsgeste; eine solche wird dann auch vom Männchen ausgeführt. Bei der Begattung stehen die Tiere Kopf an Kopf. Die Eier werden einzeln abgelegt und an feste Gegenstände angeheftet.
Common Sepia. In answer to the courtship of a male with its courtship colouration a female which is ready for mating answers with consenting gesture; the male responds with a similar gesture. During copulation the animals position themselves head to head. The eggs are laid individually and attached to solid objects.
