Updated methods for assessment and quantification of compliance with given ethical requirements
Abstract: The aim of the XP-DITE project is to develop, demonstrate and validate a comprehensive, passenger-centred approach to the design and evaluation of integrated security airport checkpoints (ACPs). Part of the work is the development of a framework for the evaluation of ethical and societal impact of passenger security screening at ACPs. Building on a typology of ethical and societal risks, this report documents XP-DITE's updated methodological framework that allows the evaluation of ethical and societal requirements of ACP screening. It has been developed in such a way to allow a computer-supported assessment not only of physically implemented checkpoints, but also of design plans (“paper designs”). The updated framework evaluates a given ACP along four main categories of requirements and generates a concise set of six evaluation scores
