Rekonstruktion der Roggenernte auf der Nordseeinsel Fanoe. Vier Frauen in Erntemasken arbeiten in stark gebückter Haltung in einer Reihe. Der geschnittene Roggen wird in Garben zusammengebunden, die in Haufen aufgestellt werden. Die trockenen Garben werden in Leinentragetüchern auf dem Rücken nach Hause gebracht. Mit Zeitdehnung.
The film shows a reconstruction of rye harvesting with sickles on the North Sea island of Fanø, where this method of reaping persisted in smallholding for a long time after the scythe had been adopted on the larger farms.
