Südost-Europa, Rumänien - Spielen auf einer Sackpfeife in Alunis

Ein Achtzigjähriger spielt eine Rubatoweise sowie zwei Tanzmelodien und zeigt so die Spieltechnik seines Instrumentes (einfache Melodiepfeife, Grifflochanordnung 7 und 1). Als Experiment ist die Skala der Melodiepfeife wiedergegeben.
The bagpiper from Alunis (sub-Carpathian hill zone of Greater Walachia) plays an instrument typical of this part of the country - a bagpipe with a simple melody pipe and a 7 + 1 finger hole arrangement. From the rather slender repertory of the eighty year-old our film illustrates a rubato tune (Doina) and two dance melodies, thus showing the playing technique characteristic for the instrument. As an experiment the scale of the melody pipe is reproduced.
