Um 6 Uhr früh betritt eine 68jährige Frau den Friedhof. Während sie das Grab ihrer Tochter umkreist, beweihräuchert sie es. Dann setzt sie sich nieder und beweint den Tod der jungen Frau in einem langen, lyrischen, frei erfundenen, monologartigen Klagelied. An anderen Gräbern halten sich auch Frauen auf, die klagen oder Speisen und Gaben austeilen.
A 68-year-old woman enters the cemetery at six o'clock in the morning. She circumambulates the grave of her daughter and incenses it. Then she sits down and laments the death of the young woman in a long lyrical, monologue-like extempore mourning song. There are also women at other graves, lamenting or depositing food and gifts.
