Der Flossensauger lebt am Boden von Gebirgsbächen. Dort weidet er den Algenbewuchs, langsam vorwärtskriechend, von Steinen ab. Durch Flossenbewegungen wirbelt er Material aus dem Sandgrund auf und erhascht Nahrungspartitikel durch plötzliches Zuspringen.
The Borneo sucker lives on the ground of mountain streams. There it feeds on algae, slowly crawling forward, grazing them from stones. Material from the sandy bottom is dispersed by fin movements, food particles are caught by sudden leaps.
