Baden, Ankleiden und Frisieren eines 4 1/2 monatigen Jungen durch seine Mutter Boyea. Geschwister, Halbgeschwister und der Vater spielen mit dem Säugling. Fünf Monate später: Spielen und Krabbeln des Säuglings, Windelwechsel, der erste Haarschnitt sowie Baden des Säuglings.
The film is a contribution to the study of childcare among the Loma of Liberia. In part one a four and a half months old boy is bathed and given a girl's hairdo. This in most cases is of no magic or similar significance. His brothers and half-brothers as well as his father are playing with the baby. Part two was taken five months later in order to show the development of the little boy. As part of the necessary childcare lice are searched for on his head. In order to make hairwashing easier for better control of vermin the mother gives her baby the first haircut. Bathing the 9 months old is shown for comparison with the scene in part one.
