Bronzemünze des Pontischen Reiches aus Amisos

Münze

Die bronzenen, sogenannten pseudo-autonomen Stadtprägungen aus Pontos, einer antiken Landschaft und hellenistischen Monarchie an der südlichen Schwarzmeerküste, wurden ca. 120-63 v. Chr. vom pontischen König Mithridates VI. kontrolliert. Vorderseite: Kopf des Dionysos mit Kranz nach rechts. Rückseite: Cista mystica, darauf Pantherfell, daneben Thyrsosstab mit Bändern. Links ein Monogramm.
