Zusammenfassung: Memoirs of Teitelbaum (1920-2001), a Hungarian Jew who lived in Budapest when World War II began. He was drafted into a military labor service unit in May 1943 and sent to work in the Bor copper mines in Serbia. In October 1944 he was taken on a death march and transported to various camps, including Flossenbürg and Dachau. He escaped during a death march in April 1945. His mother and seven siblings perished in the Holocaust. Pp. 123-131 contain memoirs of his wife, Bella (née Stul), who was born in 1922 in Debrecen and lived in Budapest from 1938. In October 1944 she and three of her sisters were taken on a death march to Dachau and Spandau, and then liberated. The Teitelbaums married shortly after the war; they emigrated to Israel in 1950.
