ha- Ḳefitsah ha-goralit : ha-maʾavaḳ la-ḥayim shel tsaʻir Yehudi bi-Drohobitsʹ u-va-maḥanot

Memoirs of a Jew from Drohobycz, Poland (now in Ukraine), where there were ca. 15,000 Jews before the Holocaust. Describes the Nazi occupation in June 1941, followed by murders of Jews by local Ukrainians and Poles, as well as by Germans. In fall 1942 Mühlrad's mother was deported and killed. Mühlrad and his father were caught in two roundups once they were released and once Mühlrad managed to arrange an escape. In summer 1943 they were sent to a nearby labor camp with a few hundred other Jews, and the ghetto was liquidated. They were then sent to the Plaszów labor camp, where his father perished. In August 1944 Mühlrad was sent to Mauthausen, then to Gusen, where he was liberated. (From the Bibliography of the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism)
