As implicações da educação física no âmbito escolar

This paper portraies the historical context of the curricular component physical education, as well it recognizes the position of inferiority and marginality of this component in the school's hierarchy of knowing. It also discusses the formation of future education professionals from this area of the knowledge which, beyond precarious, even contributes to perpetuate the status quo. This paper analyses the Physical Education in the school context and it is based on the PCNs, a product of MEC and the new LDB. At last it searches to enhance viable alternatives for the conscientization of future education professionals, in order to suppress the bias of the school's hierarchy of the knowledge, order which valorizes a specific component in detriment to another.
