Stirn- und Seitenbretter einer kistenartigen Form werden auf Querhölzer gestellt, ausgelotet und mit Schnüren zusammengehalten. In diese Form wird Lehm gefüllt, festgestampft und geglättet. Dann schiebt man die Einzelteile der Form von dem soeben fertiggestellten Mauerteil weiter, und der Vorgang beginnt von neuem.
An earth worker shovels clay into baskets. Two bearers bring these over a ladder to a box type form. A fourth worker empties the baskets, throws them down again and stamps the clay fast with his feet and a heavy long handled wooden stamper. After filling, the surface of the clay is smoothed by using a piece of wood. Then the single parts of the box are pushed further. Stern and side boards are placed on cross beams, sounded and held together with cords. Afterwards the filling begins anew.
