Ações afirmativas e integração do negro no ensino superior: uma relação possível?

Statistics and academic research show that the black person school history is significantly more complicated than the white person one. Among the elements that legitimize the social inequality situation stands out racial discrimination. This article discusses the integration of black student at the university, when the insertion is facilitated by an affirmative action program, which aims to ensure access to black people to key positions in society, as in higher education. Such discussion is the result of a research at UNICAMP with black and whites students, benefited by PAAIS (Affirmative Action and Social Inclusion Program). This research aimed to identify the elements that compose the integration process of the black student in the university context, and to analyze the vision of black students about their school and their insertion modes.
