Zentrale Merkmale und periphere Irritationen interpretativer Sozialforschung

Im ersten Teil dieses Textes votiere ich dafür, stärker als bisher die Differenz zwischen interpretativer und – auch sogenannter qualitativer – normorientierter Sozialforschung zu markieren. Im mittleren Teil geht es mir darum, essentielle epistemologische und methodologische Aspekte der Orientierung am interpretativen Paradigma zu skizzieren, die ich auch für mich reklamiere. Und im letzten Teil werde ich mich mit der Frage befassen, ob wir Irritationen durch poststrukturalistische Subjektivierungstheorien stärker ins Zentrum unserer Aufmerksamkeit rücken sollten.
In the first part of this text, I opt for a more precise distinction between interpretative and – so-called qualitative – norm referencing social research. Following this, by means of the interpretative paradigm, I outline essential epistemological and methodological aspects of orientation that I also claim for my research. Finally I pose the question whether we should give closer attention to confusions by focusing on poststructuralist theories of subjectivation.
