Fotografie nach einem Stich mit Gruppenbild mit 48 englischen und amerikanischen Naturforschern und Technikern in einer großen Bibliothek, die Herren teils sitzend, teils stehend, im Vordergrund links ein Globus und am Boden Mappen mit Papieren, rechts im Bild ein Ständer mit weiteren Zeichenmappen. Der Dargestellte in der Mitte an einem runden Tisch mit Tischdecke sitzend, ein großes Papier auf den Knien, mit Bleistift mit der Nummer "28" gekennzeichnet. Das Bild ist querrechteckig gerahmt, im oberen Bereich mit einem flachen Bogen. Die Personen sind auf der Vorlage mit Bleistift nummeriert, unter dem Bild wurden die zugehörigen Namen eingetragen (teilweise Schrift verblasst).
