"Churches have been professional global players for a long time. As such, it is possible that they contribute to an ethical perspective as an "unique selling position" on the "market of economic ethics" under the specific circumstances of globalization. However, churches often exclusively emphasize a moral-not an economic-point of view. The article addresses the ethical and economic contribution of the "Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen" to the issue of global social responsibility." (author's abstract)
