Ältere Geschwister betreuen jüngere. Mädchen wenden den Säuglingen dabei mehr zärtliche Aufmerksamkeit zu als Buben. Sie bieten ihnen Nahrung an, herzen und küssen sie. Gelegentlich mischt sich subtil aggressives Verhalten darunter (Haareziehen), das oft explorativen Charakter hat.
Older siblings look after younger ones. In this situation, girls give the babies more affectionate attention than boys do. They offer them food, hug them and kiss them. Occasionally, subtly aggressive behaviour (pulling hair) is mixed with the tenderness; this frequently has explorative character.
