Memory & Co: Hanseatic Cities
In the 12th century, North German and European merchants laid the foundation stone for the famous Hanseatic. The aim of this trade association was to represent common economic interests. Over time, the Hanseatic League also gained influence in political and cultural fields and shaped the cities involved, which often achieved great wealth thanks to free trade. During the heyday of the Hanseatic League, almost 300 maritime and inner cities of northern Europe were represented. Do you recognise these ten Hanseatic cities from the photos?
