The CeBIT is the world’s largest IT trade fair – this year’s motto: “Discover d!conomy”, referring to the increasing digitisation of society and economy. Accordingly the main focuses of the trade fair are on big data, communication and networks as well as on IT security.

The German Digital Library will be presented at the stand of the Bundesministerium des Inneren (BMI) (Federal Ministry of the Interior). This is in the Public Sector Parc, Hall 7, exhibition space A 58. It is part of the government/state joint area "Government for you" with an overall size of around 2,300 square metres.

Sample applications with direct relevance for the consumer will be shown at the exhibition space “Digital Society” at the stand of the Bundesministerium des Inneren. The German Digital Library and projects of the association “betterplace.org” will be presented.

Once more the supporting programme “Leipzig reads” will entertain the visitors with over 3,000 contributors at over 400 event locations.
