La universidad, el eslabón perdido del desarrollo nacional autónomo

The purpose of this text is to reflect on the university and its development in the commercial world, including direct experience as a university professor. It is part of understanding that the current form of existence of the university is not a providential event but is the product of the development of history within the framework of discourses of transnationalization of markets. In this order of ideas, this work takes a critical look at the role of the university in the knowledge society.
El presente texto tiene como fin reflexionar sobre la universidad y su desarrollo en el mundo mercantil, incluyendo la experiencia directa como docente universitario. Se parte de entender que la forma de existencia actual de la universidad no es un hecho providencial sino que es producto del desarrollo de la historia en el marco de discursos de transnacionalización de los mercados. En ese orden de ideas, este trabajo hace una mirada crítica frente al papel de la universidad en la sociedad del conocimiento.
