FRED-S transcripts

Zusammenfassung: The FRED-S transcripts comprise 121 text files of oral history interviews with dialect speakers. The texts can be assigned to five larger dialect areas (the Southwest of England, the Southeast of England, the Midlands, the North of England, and the Scottish Lowlands). All texts are anonymised. All person and family names were replaced by names of corresponding length and syllable structure. Different tags were used for female and male first names and nicknames, initials and surnames (see the FRED-S manual for a complete list of name tags and for the general markup of the corpus texts)
