Be-shaʿare tofet : ʿal retsaḥ hamoni shel Yehudim bi-Slovaḳyah be-ʿet dikui ha-mered ha-leʾumi ha-Slovaḳi (1944-1945) bi-yede ha-Natsim ṿe-ʿozrehem ha-Slovaḳim
Contains lists of names of both Jews and non-Jews who were killed in Kremnica and in Německá nad Hronom, Slovakia, by the Nazis and the Hlinka Guard during their suppression of the Slovak uprising in late 1944-early 1945. While the non-Jews were killed for political reasons, the Jews and Gypsies, among them children and infants, were victims of Nazi racial policy. The names of 747 victims (including 211 women and 58 children) buried in a mass grave in Kremnica were taken from a list compiled in 1945, when the grave was opened and the bodies were identified, as well as from records of the Banská Bystrica prison, where the victims were held briefly before they were killed. The names of ca. 900 victims killed at Německa were taken only from the prison records, since their bodies were burned in a lime kiln near the village.
