Buntbarsch. Zwei Männchen treffen aufeinander, spreizen die Flossen und nehmen Imponierhaltung an. Im weiteren Kampfablauf treten Körperruckbewegungen, gegenseitige Rammstöße in die Flanke, Schwanzschläge, Maulklatschen und das kampfentscheidende Maulschieben mit geöffneten Mäulern auf, bis ein Männchen die Imponierfärbung verliert und flieht.
