Two almost equally matched males are brought together to fight. They immediately swim towards each other and begin to ram. Swimming rapidly in a circle the rivals dart at each other and attack. The most important and decisive action is the snapping movement, whereby the opponents seize each other by the lips and each tries to push the other along in front of him. This fight has a clear winner, since one of the males retires from the field.
