Auf einem senkrecht stehenden Webrahmen wird Yakhaargarn in zweiebiger Kette gespannt. Nach Einsetzen der Trennstäbe wird der Litzenstab angeschlungen und fixiert. Durch wechselnden Gebrauch verschiedener naturfarbener Schüsse entsteht ein Doppelteppich in Streifenmuster.
On a vertical loom the threads of yak hair are stretched in a double-rowed warp, the dividing staffs are inserted, the heddle staff is twisted in and fixed. By an alternating use of various self-coloured weft threads a triped pattern is woven. Later the warp shiner is inserted, the warp is pulled and stretched again. When the weaving is finished, the loops of the warp are untied from the frame. The textile is cut up in the middle, resulting in two rugs.
