"De origine et progressu iuris boici civilis antiqui" ist Johann Georg Loris (1723-1787) Dissertation an der Universität Ingolstadt, eingereicht bei seinem akademischen Lehrer Johann Adam Ickstatt (1702-1776). Es handelt sich um eine rechtsgeschichtliche Arbeit über den Ursprung des bayerischen Zivilrechts von den Anfängen bis zum Beginn des 14. Jahrhunderts. Das lateinische Werk ist bereits eine "Programmschrift des künftigen Reformers" (Andreas Kraus). Ziel war die Wiederherstellung der vermeintlichen früh- und hochmittelalterlichen staatlichen Kirchenhoheit. Die Arbeit erregte daher Widerspruch, u.a. vom Ingolstädter Historiker Heinrich Schütz SJ (1714-1768). Die in der Vorrede angekündigten Teile II und III erschienen nie. Das hier digitalisierte Exemplar schenkte Lori dem bayerischen Hofbibliothekar Andreas Felix Oefele (1706-1780).
Englische Version: "De origine et progressu iuris boici civilis antiqui" is Lori's dissertation at the university of Ingolstadt, submitted to his academic teacher Johann Adam Ickstatt (1702-1776). It is a law-historical work on the origins of the Bavarian civil law from the beginnings to the turn of the 14th century. Written in Latin, the dissertation already represents a "programmatic piece of the future reformer" (A. Kraus). His goal was the restitution of the presumed state rule over the church of the early and high Middle Ages. Therefore the work provoked criticism, among others by the Ingolstadt historian Heinrich Schütz SJ (1714-1768). Volume II and III announced in the foreword were never published. The digitised copy shown here was a present by Lori to the court librarian Andreas Felix Oefele (1706-1780).
