Tänze leiten die täglichen Wurfübungen auf eine Strohpuppe mit Speer und Speerschleuder sowie den Wettkampf ein, der jeweils abwechselnd zwischen zwei Kämpfern, je einem Vertreter beider Waurá-Mannschaften, ausgetragen wird, entsprechend einem endgültigen Javarí-Kampfspiel zwischen zwei verschiedenen Stämmen.
Dances precede the daily practice of throwing a spear with the spear-thrower at a straw figure and the match, fought between two fighters at a time, one of each Waurá team, according to the rules of the javarí contest between different tribes.
