Interdisciplinary approach to the study of national consciousness phenomenon

Abstract: The purpose of the article is to investigate the changes of awareness of Ukrainian society interests, acquisition of a new value system as the generating factors of national identity. Problem field is outlined by understanding of the public crisis reasons. The causal relationship between the quality of social transformations and the general atmosphere in the country, the nature of the mass consciousness of Ukrainian population, in particular awareness level of national unity towards the common interest is analyzed
