Erster Band eines insgesamt vierbändigen Sammelwerkes, das der Verleger Harrison zwischen 1785 und 1787 herausbrachte. Es sind jeweils die Ouverturen und Arien der Oratorien Händels im Klavierauszug wiedergegeben. Der Bearbeiter Samuel Arnold war Komponist und Organist und gab zwischen 1787 und 1797 die erste Gesamtausgabe der Werke Händels heraus.
Die Druckplatten der vorliegenden Ausgabe wurden offenbar neu angefertigt, denn sie sind nicht identisch mit denen der Klavierauszüge der Werke Händels, die Harrison in den Jahren zuvor herausgegeben hatte.
Der hier vorliegende erste Band enthält die folgenden Werke, die jeweils mit eigener Titelseite, eigenem Inhaltsverzeichnis und getrennter Seitenzählung versehen sind:
