Covid-19: Sammelunterkünfte für Geflüchtete und Kasernen im Vergleich
In deutschen Sammelunterkünften für Geflüchtete traten während der Covid-19-Pandemie zahlreiche Covid-19-Ausbrüche auf. In Kasernen der Bundeswehr, einem strukturell teilweise vergleichbaren Setting, sind hingegen kaum Infektionsfälle bekannt. Wir diskutieren, warum in Kasernen ein niedrigeres Infektionsrisiko bestehen könnte und leiten Implikationen für das Management von Covid-19 in Sammelunterkünften für Geflüchtete ab.
Abstract: During the Covid-19-pandemic many refugee shelters in Germany were affected by Covid-19 disease outbreaks. In contrast, hardly any cases were reported in German military barracks which partly have comparable structures. We discuss why the risk of Covid-19 infection may be lower in military barracks, and implications to be derived for the management of Covid-19 in refugee shelters.
