Aibom (Neuguinea, Mittlerer Sepik) - Zubereiten von Brei (Sago mit Kokos)

Ein junger Mann raspelt das Samenfleisch einer Kokosnuß und schüttet es zu der Kokosmilch in einen Topf. Eine Frau bringt diese Flüssigkeit zum Kochen, rührt Sagostärke ein und läßt die Speise zu einer steifen Masse werden, die mit dem Löffel gegessen wird.
A young man is scraping the meat of a coconut, and a woman, Kambanpi, is heating the scraps together with the water of the coconut; she is mixing sago starch with some of th hot fluid and then pouring this mixture into the rest of the fluid. It is stirred vigorously until the pudding is getting stiff. The pudding is eaten with a spoon made from coconutshell.
