Der Kletterfisch vermag sich zum Aufsuchen neuer Gewässer über Land fortzubewegen. Er schnellt mit kräftigen Schlägen der Schwanzflosse vorwärts und hakt sich mit dem gezackten Kiemendeckel an der Unterlage fest, gestützt durch die Brustflossen.
The film demonstrates, with film shot at 24 and 64 p/s, the land progress of the Anabas testudineus (Anabantidae). The fish bounds forward with strong beats of the tail fins and hooks itself hereby firmly to the base with one of the prominent gills. The sideways spread forward fins serve hereby as supports.
