Mit einem eisernen Messer schnitzt Dalamaniu im Weiler Liahane einen langzinkigen, hölzernen Kamm, dessen acht Zinken eine Schmuckbindung erhalten. Den mit Kokosnußsaft eingeriebenen Kamm schwenkt er über einem schwelenden Feuer. Dann kämmt er sich und steckt sich den Kamm als Schmuck ins Haar.
