Der Matziler-Bauer Hermann Reichegger aus St. Jakob (Ahrntal) schnitzt eine Teufelsmaske mit aufgesetzten Kuhhörnern aus Zirbelholz.
Masks and the carving of masks have a long tradition in the Ahrn Valley. Today there are still six mask-carvers to be found there. The film shows step by step the fabrication of a devil's mask with cow horns set on it.
