Waurá (Brasilien, Oberer Xingú) - Körperbemalung

Zwei junge Männer helfen sich gegenseitig bei der Körperbemalung. Mit roter Urucú-Farbe und schwarzer Rußfarbe malen sie kunstvolle Muster auf Haut und Haar. Anschließend wird kurz der Anlaß der Bemalung, die zu den Javarí-Übungen gehörenden Tänze, gezeigt.
Two young men help each other in painting their body. With red urucú dye and black soot they paint elaborate designs on their skin and their hair. Finally the film shows briefly the reason for the painting, the dancing associated with javarí exercises.
