Karo-Batak (Indonesien, Nordsumatra) - Tänze anläßlich einer Haarwaschzeremonie in Kuta Mbelin

Die Teilnehmer der Haarwaschzeremonie (vgl. Film E 2963) treffen im Haus ein. Mit dem ersten Tanz werden die Schutz- und Ahnengeister gebeten, am Fest teilzunehmen. Nach dem Geisteranrufungstanz wird das Festessen eingenommen. Adat-Tänze und weitere Geisteranrufungstänze folgen. Nach einem Orakel mit hartgekochtem Ei werden Unterhaltungstänze getanzt. Zum Tanz spielt eine Gendang-Musikgruppe.
The participants of the hair-washing-ceremony arrive in the house. The first dance is performed to invite the protective and the ancestral spirits to take part in the feast. A dance with invocation of the spirits takes place, followed by the meal. Adat dances and further dances with invocation of the spirits are performed. An oracle with a hard-boiled egg is consulted, followed by entertainment dances. The dances are accompanied by a gendang music group.
