Spätromanische Gründung im 13 Jh. Langhaus im spätgotisch neu erbaut mit Norderweiterung bis 1512. Kirche erhöht im befestigten Kirchhof gelegen (Wehrgang abgetragen) und im Osten, Norden und Süden von einem tiefer gelegenen Zwinger mit Außenmauer umgeben (Wehrgang ebenfalls entfernt). Übersichtliche und verteidigungstechnisch bedeutsame Kirchenburg. Founded in the 13th century in late Romanesque style, the church tower still remains out of that time, got a new bell house in 1471. The nave was rebuild in the late 15th century and extended to North until 1512. The cemetery with the church is located in a high position, and surrounded in the East, North and West by a forcer with outer wall. While the battlement was removed from both curtains in the 19th century, this Church castle still can be called a stronghold and shows very good the principle and advantage of a high cemetery curtain in combination with a lower sited forcer in case of good defense (nevertheless, in both margrave wars the Church-Castle was harmed).
