Ein Diviner-Ehepaar nimmt die Initiation einer jungen Frau zur Herbalistin vor: Lobgesang der Anwesenden für die Ahnengeister; Anrufen der Ahnengeister durch den Diviner; Schlagen von Schaum, mit dem die Initiandin bestrichen wird; rituelle Tötung einer Ziege; Divinationstanz. Anschließend bringt die initiierte Frau die Medizin zum Schäumen als Zeichen für ihre neuen Fähigkeiten. Die Zeremonie wurde für die Filmaufnahmen wiederholt.
A couple of diviners perform the ceremony of initiation of a young femal herbalist: songs of the participants in praise of the ancestral spirits; invocation of the ancestral spirits by the diviner; producing froth and smearing the initiate; ritual killing of a goat; divination dance. Finally the initiated woman beats the medicine into froth as a sign of her new abilities.
