Development from fertilization up to the 8-cellstage. Platynereis: formation of polar bodies; uneven plasma distribution. Sabellaria: uneven plasma distribution through formation of polar lappets. Pomatoceros: equal divisions and the typical spiral arrangement of the successive blastomeres.
