Ein Messermacher aus Oberwart, Herr Wagner, stellt ein federloses Faltmesser (Feitel) her, indem er die Schmiedearbeit an Esse und Amboß, das Härten und Schleifen der Klinge und das Drechseln und Montieren des hölzernen Messerheftes selbst besorgt.
The film shows the making of a folding knife without spring by a Burgenland knife-maker. The man forges the iron in the fire and on the anvil to the desired shape, hardens and grinds the blade, turns the wooden handle and fixes the blade to it.
