The international conference series “Shaping Access! – More Responsibility for Cultural Heritage” focuses on strategies and digitisation projects which make cultural heritage accessible online. While an interim balance between numerous international museums, archives and libraries took the centre stage in 2014 in terms of status quo, success and problems with digitisation and making things accessible, the focus of the 2015 conference lies on future strategies. What role does metadata play in an interconnected world? What will be the concept behind exhibitions in the future? How will the legal framework evolve? And what are the strategies for accessing cultural heritage in the future? The Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek has been co-organising the conference since 2013.
