Im Hohenlohe-Zentralarchiv Neuenstein ist die Überlieferung der Grafen und Fürsten von Hohenlohe der Forschung und dem interessierten Bürger zugänglich. Nach 1945 wurden in Neuenstein die Archive der verschiedenen Linien dieses seit Mitte des 12. Jahrhunderts belegten Adelsgeschlechtes zusammengefasst, die für die territoriale und politische und wirtschaftliche Entwicklung des Nordostens des heutigen Bundeslandes Baden-Württemberg aufschlussreiche Quellen enthalten. Das Archiv befindet sich nach wie vor im Eigentum der heutigen sechs Linien des Hauses Hohenlohe, wird aber als Außenstelle der Abteilung Staatsarchiv Ludwigsburg vom Landesarchiv Baden-Württemberg betreut.
