Ein Mann aus Cusuimi stellt eine Federkrone aus Haut und Flügeln des Hellroten Ara her: Er flicht die zylinderförmige Kronenbasis aus gespaltenen Lianenstreifen, drillt auf dem Oberschenkel dünne Fäden aus den Fasern einer Bromeliaceen-Art, näht damit Haut und Flügel auf die Basis und schneidet das Gefieder zurecht.
A young and intelligent Shuara makes a festive feather crown from the skin and wings of the red macaw parrot he had killed. He begins to work by preparing strands of split liana which will be used to plait the base of the crown. He next prepars the thin thread of the strands of chambira by twisting them over his thigh. With this thread he sews on the skin and the wings of the birds to the plaited base, then deftly cutting the somewhat formless bird skin into the desired shape.
