Dissipation power homogenization of anisotropic linear viscoelastic composites
Abstract: The current work presents a thermodynamic consistent derivation of the volume‐specific dissipation power and energy function based on an anisotropic generalized Maxwell model. Further the equivalence to a physically meaningful effective dissipation power and energy density of a heterogeneous microstructure, exhibiting macroscopic direction‐dependent linear viscoelastic material behavior, is shown.
