Zuviel des Guten. Proklamationen und Realitäten der Bildung im Spiegel von Nachhaltigkeit und Transformation

Abstract: Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung wird seit ihren Anfängen in den 1990er Jahren von einer scharfen Kritik begleitet. Der Frage nachgehend, woran sich diese entzündet, entfaltet der Beitrag die These, dass nicht Mängel oder Defizite, sondern ein Zuviel des Guten die kritikwürdige Gestalt der Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung begründet. In der Folge plädiert der Beitrag für eine doppelte Wendung auf die Praxis von Bildung und Erziehung im Kontext gesellschaftlicher Transformationsbestrebungen. (DIPF/Orig.)
Abstract: Since its beginnings in the 1990s, education for sustainable development has been accompanied by sharp criticism. The article explores the question of what ignites this criticism and develops the thesis that it is not shortcomings or deficits, but rather too much of a good thing that gives rise to the criticizable form of education for sustainable development. Subsequently, the article argues for a double turn to the praxis of education in the context of societal transformation efforts. (DIPF/Orig.)
