Stimmlippenschwingungen in verschiedenen Lebensaltern - Homo sapiens

Schwingungsverhalten der Stimmlippen bei jüngeren und älteren Menschen (Zeitlupe). Verlängerung der Verschlußphasen, Starrer- und Dünnerwerden der Stimmbänder mit zunehmendem Alter.
Vibrations at various tone pitches of the vocal folds of vocally healthy test persons in different age groups are shown with a recording frequently of 4000 to 5000 p/s. Between 10 and 40 photographs per vibration cycle were thereby made a available for the optical analysis of formation. In following the analysis, the film displays in an optimal way the vibration processes of the vocal folds in various registers (chest voice, head voice). The typical changes of the vibration procedure of the vocal folds in old age, known to us clinically as the so called "old man's voice", could not be detected in the 75 and 78 year old test persons analysed. The opening quotient (opening time : period) does not display any dependency on age either.
