Algeria’s Strategic Position and Its Implications for the Development of China- Algeria Relations

Abstract: Algeria is an important country in Africa and the Middle East, which plays an active role in African affairs. Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, it has maintained a harmonious and friendly relationship with Algeria. In 2014, Algeria became the first Arab country with which China established a comprehensive strategic partnership. Within the framework of China-Algeria comprehensive strategic partnership, the two sides have broad space for cooperation in regional and international affairs. The development of China- Algeria relations is conducive to raising friendly cooperative relations between China and Arab and African countries to a new level, and to the advancement of the Belt and Road Initiative in the Middle East and Africa.
